  • 1. Where is the JSIK Academy based?

    The JSIK Academy is an online academy which means it is accessible anywhere with an Internet connection, and the entire study is conducted only on the Internet. The JSIK Academy is one of the Believer's World projects, which is based in Canada.
  • 2. Why was the JSIK Academy established?

    Distance learning is an important mean of transferring knowledge; however, there is clear shortage of authentic Islamic education and well-organized programs! Thus, our vision is to establish an easily accessible and affordable online Islamic Academy that offers different programs and courses on various subjects in Islam. We are committed to excellence in Islamic education and the development of well-educated students who are able to present Islam thoughtfully and truthfully.
  • 3. What programs does the JSIK Academy offer?

    Currently, the JSIK Academy provides various programs in two different campuses: Arabic and English. Each campus offers numerous courses along with certificate, diploma, and Bachelor's Degree programs.
  • 4. Where does the study take place?

    The JSIK Academy is an online academy, and thus the entire program is taught online through the internet. Students can access their classes via their computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones, or any other device with network communication capabilities.
  • 5. Who can study at the JSIK Academy?

    Programs at the JSIK Academy have been designed with a comprehensive syllabus and a universal curriculum. Thus, the programs are applicable to anyone willing to devote time to pursue a structured Islamic Studies education and increase their knowledge! It is ideal for those who do not have the means to study at a conventional university.
  • 6. Are there any prior education qualification required?

    There are several streams of study at the JSIK Academy:
    1. There is no prior educational qualification required for single courses enrollment, as well as a number of certificate programs.
    2. As for the degree and diploma programs, the minimum requirement is a high school diploma. However, the JSIK Academy offers an accelerated high school diploma for those who wish to catch up!
    3. It is also possible for students who do not have a high school diploma to join the bachelor's and recieve an JSIK Academy Certificate upon successful completion of the program. This option is available under the JSIK Academy Open Education Program.
  • 7. Is there an age limit?

    Anyone who is willing to devote time to pursue a structured Islamic Studies program and increase their knowledge can join!
    Note: other minimum requirements may be applicable.
  • 8. what is the language of instruction?

    As for the JSIK Academy English Campus, all programs and courses are taught in the English language with the exception of advanced Arabic classes.
    As for the JSIK Academy Arabic Campus, the language of instruction for all programs and courses is Arabic.
  • 9. How does the degree programme work?

    In brief, students login to the student portal to access their course modules, where they can find the recorded videos and/or lectures, along with the reading materials. Each course consists of homework assignments, and a final examination, and some courses include a short quiz after each module.
    Students may receive help through the JSIK Academy Mentoring Program. The mentor provides schoolwork help, homework advice, studying tips, as well as answers and advice to any questions students may have. Similarly, some courses have live sessions so students may raise any questions they may have.
  • 10. What is the required study time?

    Study time varies depending upon the capability of the student, but typically the student is expected to allow 2 hours of study a day or 10-15 hours of study a week. This is inclusive of the time required to listen to the course lectures and complete the assignment work.
  • 11. Is there a part-time studies option?

    Yes, students may choose to study any of the programs on a part-time basis. Part time students are allowed to take two to four subjects in each semester.
  • 12. Does the JSIK Academy have an accreditation?

    JSIK Academy is currently working on being an accredited institution, which would empower the academy to leverage the strengths of all national academic institutes ehancing the overall learning mechanism. In addition, the JSIK Academy alumnus may complete their higher education in a number of universities accepting JSIK Academy students.
